a trip down memory lane for kids of all ages.

Gail and Laurel The toy museum was opened in 2004. It is home to thousands of items of childhood memorabilia & is open to the public by appointment. The museum is located at 59 Edward Street Laidley QLD & is only 2 blocks from the CBD. (Next to the Uniting Church) Exhibits include toys & children's china from the 1870's to the present day. There are tin toys, pedal cars, puppets, costumes, character dolls, games, alarm clocks & just about anything relating to childhood.A Huge Range of Toy Memorabilia

Please allow at least 30 minutes. Demonstrations are part of the visit & children are educated throughout the tour. When you think it's over you head out to the shed & see all the stuff that wouldn't fit in the house! Outdoor seating & cold drinks are available. Come & have a look! It's guaranteed to put a smile on your face & a spring in your step. You will be amazed at how much you forgot you had & what you threw out!!

Toy and Crockery Exhibits

Admission is $2 per person & every child admission includes a free gift. If you love the toys & want a unique gift or memento reproduction tin toys are available starting at $3 each. On occasion I have old toys available for sale but usually only when I upgrade my exhibits & have a duplicate available.

Spend the weekend in the lovely laidback Lockyer where every day feels like Sunday.Stay at Thornton Country Retreat Bed & Breakfast & browse through some of the shops & markets in the area. You can get fresh veges straight from the farmers at the Mulgowie Hall on the first Saturday of every month. Visit quaint unspoiled Forest Hill just a few short kilometres up the road. It may be "country Queensland" but there's heaps of fun stuff to do & Laidley has 2 other great museums as well!
